On April 29, 2001, the Thumb Area Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) and the Tuscola County Archers will be holding a spring Thumb Area Branch Membership Meeting, Food Plot Workshop, Seed & Mineral Sale, and 3D Shoot.
Perry Russo, the President of the Thumb Area Branch of the QDMA will provide an update of the current status of the Quality Deer Management (QDM) proposal for Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola counties. This proposal, if approved, would take place beginning with the 2002 Fall hunting season. Ed Spinazzola, the President of the Mid-Michigan Branch of the QDMA will present information that takes a step-by-step approach to the making and planting of recreational food plots for whitetail deer. Tom Edwards of Superior Wildlife Feed Company will provides information and materials for successful food plots.
The Tuscola County Archers will have their 3D Archery Course open throughout the day. Bring your archery equipment for some early spring fun and practice.
The Thumb Area Branch of the QDMA will have Imperial Whitetail Supplements and Food Plot Seeds, QDMA Deer Minerals, and Aggrene Liquid Lime and Organic Fertilizer available for sale. Special prices have been negotiated with the manufacturers and are available for sale to all that attend. While there is no charge to attend the meetings or workshops, there is a $5.00 charge to shoot the 3D course. Food will also be available for sale.
